It is not specific to any one Explorer view but for all based on SAP BW infoproviders. -The database SQL generation parameters file could not be loaded (SAP. The most common reason for this exception is that the driver was not loaded. Cocoon uses an initial parameter in the 'web.xml' file to automatically load classes on startup. This way, the class is loaded only once and the server's time is spent doing more productive things. Make sure the following entry is in your 'web.xml' file. 'SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence' is essentially the Webi Rich Client but as installed by downloading through the BI system itself (BI LaunchPad). Installed this way if they edit a report and their user preferences are set to use the rich client then this launches ok and they can edit/refresh fine. The program is also available to launch directly from the Windows Start button under SAP Business Intelligence, but if they take this route then they can connect to the BI4.1 system, view universes and reports, but as soon as they refresh the report or try altering queries then they get errors about the connection. 'The database SQL generation parameters file could not be loaded (MS SQL Server 2008, OLE DB) (WIS 00514)' This affects several different types of connection (ODBC included). It flummoxed me for a while as I was using Webi Rich Client installed via the full client install package rather than downloading through the BI4.1 web interface. That works fine. It was only when I noticed as they launched it that it was called 'SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence' rather than 'Web Intelligence Rich Client' that it clicked. Anyone know what is causing the error and how to fix it? The workaround to always go through the Web Interface to launch is fine or install the Webi Rich Client the way I did is fine, but if they allow it to be launched from the start menu then it should work shouldn't it? ![]() Surya_sudheer Forum Associate Joined: 01 Nov 2006 Posts: 683 Location: Chennai Posted: Mon Dec 02, 2013 1:08 am Post subject: Re: Webi Rich Client and SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligenc It might be BEx query may be changed in the backend. So please check with your BI team whether BEx query is changed or not. If it is changed then you have to refresh the universe structure or create a new report DanDensley Principal Member Joined: 12 May 2009 Posts: 248 Location: Bristol Posted: Tue Dec 03, 2013 4:05 am Post subject: Re: Webi Rich Client and SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligenc I am the BI Team Or at least part of it Just to be clear my PC with the Webi Rich Client installed through the SAP BI Client install package works fine with the same Universe. There is nothing wrong or changed in the Universe. The issue is with a report writing user who installed the webi rich client by changing their preferences in the BI Launch Pad and then accepting a download from the server when they used it. This strangely installs the Webi Rich Client in a slightly different place and with a different name - but it is the Webi Rich Client! Also to be clear if the user creates or edits a report through the BI Launch Pad then it loads up the 'other' Webi Rich Client and that works fine. The issue is when they don't log in to the system via the web front end and just launch the 'other' Webi Rich Client from the Windows start menu. Your suggestion worked. This is what I have done. Log in to BI Launchpad and modifying the WebI Rich Client report. Report refreshed, added and removed objects from the query panel. Everything works perfect. _________________ help us help you!
